GALLERY STATEMENT

blueverticalstudio gallery, in the new tashiro kaplan building, was created to expand the reach of bvs into the public sector. it will provide bvs a wonderful exhibition space that will be controlled by one entity: michael ammerman. doubling as director and artist, michael will be dedicated to his art and the forwarding of other hand-selected artists.

one of the strengths of the bvs gallery and this new ‘art container’ will be to bring together various artists, musicians, collaborators and spectators. this growing network will provide a synthesis of art, space, music and experience to create a unique multidimensional environment unlike other ‘formal’ galleries. this new combination will push, over time, to create a new dialog between artist and spectator… and in many instances erasing the distinction altogether.
